Stewart Carlin, Managing Partner of Accounting Consultants of Cobb, manages the firm’s accounting, consulting, and tax areas. Stewart is a CPA having received his CPA certificate in 1983.
Stewart has been in the accounting arena for the past 28 years working both in public accounting, as well as private industry. Stewart’s career began as a Corporate Controller for a distribution company that was located in Orlando. He was promoted to Chief Financial Officer and in that role led a relocation of the company to the Atlanta area. After 6 years as the CFO, handling a number of mergers and acquisitions, Stewart decided to start his own firm that specialized in personal detail and relationships with his clients. That was the start of Accounting Consultants of Cobb. Last year, the firm celebrated 15 years of assisting clients in the growth of their business. The firm has been recognized as a Top 25 Small Business in Cobb County.
Stewart is a Past President of the Georgia Society of CPA’s, a trade association serving over 11,000 CPA’s in the state. Stewart serves on the Sports Advisory Board for Children’s Health Care of Atlanta, along with other boards and advisory councils.
Stewart earned a bachelor’s degree at Georgia Tech and a master’s degree in accounting and taxation at Stetson University.
